The Creative Youth Society is an arts and creative career development initiative designed to support young adults ages 16–24. We serve a diverse population of youth, with a primary focus on those who have been historically underserved, including individuals impacted by the justice system, foster care, financial instability, and housing insecurity.

Through intentional programming, participants develop technical skills, explore creative industries, and build a foundation for future opportunities. Our interdisciplinary offerings include hands-on workshops in visual and fine arts, graphic design, photography and video, immersive and emerging technologies, exhibition and curation, and creative entrepreneurship.

Participants engage in project-based learning, field experiences, and opportunities to showcase their work through exhibitions and public presentations. Society also provides access to creative space, tools, and equipment to support ongoing practice and portfolio development.

Alongside artistic training, participants receive guidance in key areas of professional development, including resume writing, artist statements and bios, grant writing, and job application preparation. Mentorship, peer collaboration, and community connections are woven throughout the experience, with opportunities to contribute to projects and creative work within The CYS network.

The Creative Youth Society fosters a supportive environment that encourages consistency, accountability, and creative growth. Our goal is to equip young people with the skills, confidence, and resources to navigate and pursue pathways within the creative industries on their own terms.
